Your full name. Your email address.
Any details or proof you provide in your answer.
We do not collect payment card details (all payments go through PayPal, who handle their own privacy policy).
We do not ask for date of birth, address, phone number, or any other unnecessary information.
We use your name and email address only for:
Sending you the hunt clues (via email).
Sending hunt pdates or winner announcements.
Managing entries and contacting winners
Responding to your questions or support messages
Your answers are used only to judge the competition and verify the winning entry
If you gave explicit consent via the opt-in checkbox on entry forms: sending you occasional emails about new hunts, launches, or alerts (you can unsubscribe anytime).
We process your data on the basis of:
Legitimate interests - to run a fair and transparent competition, contact winners, and manage the hunt properly.
Your consent - for optional marketing emails about future hunts (you can withdraw this consent at any time).
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
With PayPal (for prize payments only when necessary)
With Meta/Facebook (for group participation only if you join our private group — see Meta's privacy policy)
Basic hunt data (name, email, answers): kept until the hunt ends.
Marketing consent (email address only): kept until you unsubscribe (via the link in every email) or withdraw consent.
You can ask us to delete your email from marketing lists at any time.
Winner data (name + email + any payment-related info): kept fo up to 3 years after the hunt ends (for prize proof, transparency, country-specific legal requirements, defending potential claims under the Limitation Act 1980, etc).
After 8 years all personal data is deleted or fully anonymised.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

Request deletion of your data
Object to processing
Restrict processing
Withdraw consent (for marketing emails) at any time
To exercise any of these rights, simply unsubscribe or email us.
